In order to debug your application using GDB, you need to add -g option when you compile and link you application. How do you tell if versions will be compatible?

gdb-i686-pc-mingww32 Apparently, creator found your msvc installation and did include it into its environment. It has since then gained widespread use and distribution. But I should be able to at least perform debugging at the assembly level for a given executable. I would prefer using the debugger that comes with the Qt SDK, and I thought that would be the default way.
